Twang Tuition: five years of a website that works

The client

Twang Tuition is a family-run guitar school in Leeds, fronted by father and son Paul and Mitch. They teach rock, metal, pop, blues and indie guitar - and they’re serious about quality, both in their teaching and in how their business shows up online.

The brief

Twang needed more than a brochure site. Alongside their brand identity, they wanted a secure members area where learners could log in and access exclusive lesson content. Then in 2021, ahead of launching their online guitar course, Paul came back with a bigger challenge: turn years of teaching knowledge into a digestible online product.

What we did

We designed and built the site end to end, including a fully custom user log-in area hosting exclusive learner content - then maintained and evolved it over five years as the business grew.

For the online course launch, we worked closely with Paul and Mitch to design the lesson worksheets: typesetting the content, creating the accompanying illustrations, and handling the technical work to deliver the materials to users through the site. Along the way we also designed virtual gift vouchers and leaflets, and supported their marketing channels including Patreon.

The results

Twang’s online offering took off - learners signing up to the course, growing brand visibility on YouTube, and a business that’s still thriving today as a regional leader in guitar tuition. The site has been live, maintained and earning its keep for over five years.
